Breakers Trip Frequently
Repeated tripping can indicate an overloaded circuit, breaker problem or another electrical issue that should be investigated.
The age of your home is only the starting point.
Not every Calgary home built during this period contains aluminum branch wiring. Previous renovations and electrical upgrades may also have changed portions of the system. Confirmation requires an on-site inspection by a qualified electrician.
Burning Odour or Discolouration
A burning smell, dark marks or melted plastic around a device requires immediate attention from a qualified electrician.
Move devices that interfere with cabinetry, furniture, new room layouts or renovation plans.
Outlet & Switch Relocation
We got it.

The home's existing and proposed electrical loads are considered before additional EV charging capacity is added.
200 Amp Service Upgrade
If the existing electrical system cannot appropriately support the additional load, a service upgrade may be considered.

BEFORE YOU CONTACT US
Questions Before Booking?
Here are a few things Calgary homeowners often want to know before contacting The Honest Electrician.
What information should I include when I contact you?
Tell us what you need help with, what you have noticed, and where the property is located. Photos can also be helpful for some electrical projects. We’ll let you know if we need any additional information.
Do you charge for an on-site electrical assessment?
Our standard site visit is $100. We use the visit to understand your electrical needs, review the existing installation where required, and determine the appropriate next step for your project.
What areas do you serve?
We provide residential electrical services throughout Calgary and also serve select surrounding communities including Cochrane, Airdrie, Chestermere and Okotoks. Contact us if you’re unsure whether your property is within our service area.
Can I send photos of my electrical problem or project?
Yes. Photos can help us better understand what you’re describing before a visit. Depending on the issue, an on-site assessment may still be necessary to safely evaluate the electrical system.
What if I’m not sure which electrical service I need?
That’s okay. Tell us what is happening or what you would like to accomplish. We’ll ask a few questions and help determine the appropriate next step.
